Fulton County Juvenile Court hosts the 16th Annual Youth and the Law Summit

The intent of the Summit is to bridge the gap between our youth and the tools they can use to pursue brighter futures.
The Fulton County Juvenile Court will host the 16th Annual Youth and the Law Summit on Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the State Bar of Georgia located at 104 Marietta Street NW, 6th Floor Conference Center, Atlanta, GA. 30303.

The master of ceremonies will be Fulton County Juvenile Court Judge Renata Turner. Darrick McDuffie, Senior Counsel at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP, and Dr. J.L Wyatt-Keyton, Executive Director of Career Services and Professional Development at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School will serve as co-hosts.

The 2023 theme for the Summit is “The Courage to be Uncommon.” Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about their rights, obtain community resources, and participate in inspiring discussions with presenters. The Annual Youth and the Law Summit is held yearly during the month of April. The intent of the Summit is to bridge the gap between our Youth and the tools they can use to pursue brighter futures.

Fulton County Juvenile Court partners with the community to bring programming to our at-risk youth. Some of these community partners include the Gate City Bar Association, Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Constangy Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP, and Youth Sparks. The Summit will feature a panel discussion with Gary L. Davis, Sr. of Next Level Boys Academy, Young Dro with It Still Takes a Village, along with parent Wykehlia Stanley, and attorney Will Arnold. Also, presenting at this year’s Summit are the esteemed C.J. Stewart, Julious George, Marlo Prioleau, Lisa Thomas, and Lashawnda Woods-Roberts.
