After its introduction, Senate Bill 30, a bill that adds definition of anti-Semitism to Georgia's hate crimes code, passed the House and the Senate at the end of a long day of floor debates about the bill's potential to limit free speech. Senate Bill 386, a bipartisan bill that is co-sponsored by Senate Minority Leader Gloria Butler and one of Governor's floor leaders Senator Bo Hatchet, would legalize sports betting in Georgia. The betting proceeds would be directed to the Hope Scholarship, Pre-K, and needs base aid as a part of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
