The annual Queens and their Chapeaux Mother's Day Tea and Brunch was held. Hear more from Darnell Fitness Coordinator Meletta Clayton. We do this every year in celebration of Older Americans Month. We had a hat show, we had poetry, we had a litany. We just had all types of activities and games for our senior participants to enjoy to know that they are celebrated and loved on Mother's Day. We do that because we work with seniors and a lot of our seniors are women. We've got mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, big mamas here and we want them to know that they are appreciated and that we celebrate them not only on Mother's Day, but every day of the year.
