COMMISSIONER MARVIN S ARRINGTON TO HOST DISTRICT 5 WRITE TO RISE YOUNG WRITER WORKSHOP

COMMISSIONER MARVIN S. ARRINGTON TO HOST DISTRICT 5 'WRITE TO RISE' YOUNG WRITER WORKSHOP

July 08, 2024

Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr. is encouraging young writers to hone their craft. In collaboration with David Mitchell of Better Outcomes for Our Kids, Inc., and Corro'll Driskell of Friends of Wolf Creek, Inc., the Commissioner will present a series of Write 2 Rise Student Workshops in July.

The series of workshops promises to foster the talents of young writers, develop enthusiasm for their literary work, and provide a context to celebrate their writing successes. This is a vital opportunity for students to craft unforgettable stories, sharpen their skills, and compete for the $1,000 grand prize.

Participants will also receive hands-on writing experiences to unleash their inner author, and a shot at literary greatness in the annual youth writing competition. Only 50 seats are available, and participants must attend a school in Fulton County.

Workshop Dates: July 10, 17, 24, and 31
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Wolf Creek Library
3100 Enon Rd, Atlanta, GA 30331
