Vice Chair Khadijah Abdur-Rahman brought home to District 6 the importance of mental health awareness. The Personal Touch resonated with attendees and impressed the National Association of Counties. NACo bestowed honors upon the vice chair for this initiative and two others. Of particular importance to the vice chair is raising awareness of human trafficking. The other standout program was the Senior Summit on elderly abuse encouraging victims to speak up.
