Fulton County Marks A Major Milestone In Demolishing Dilapidated Hotels As Part Of The "Renew The District" Initiative

Fulton County is taking a bold step toward revitalizing Fulton Industrial Boulevard by celebrating a significant milestone in the Renew the District initiative: the demolition of the long-abandoned Executive and Super Inn hotels.  The press event, scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024, 11 a.m. at 305 Fulton Industrial Circle, Southwest in Atlanta, Georgia, 30336, marks a pivotal moment in the County's ongoing efforts to enhance community safety and stimulate economic growth in the Fulton Industrial Boulevard corridor.

The demolition of the dilapidated hotels is a crucial part of Fulton County’s strategy to improve public safety and quality of life in the Fulton Industrial Boulevard community. By clearing these blighted properties, Fulton County is making way for new opportunities and setting the stage for sustainable development that will benefit the entire region. 

Speakers and participants will include:  Robb Pitts, Chairman and Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, Vice Chairwoman, District 6 Commissioner, Fulton County Board of Commissioners; Dr. Catherine F. Rowell, District 1 Council Member, City of South Fulton; Gil Prado, Executive Director, Fulton Industrial Boulevard Community Improvement District; and, Samir Abdullahi, Director, Select Fulton and Fulton County Economic Development.
