Preparations are underway in Fulton County to celebrate the county’s dedicated customer service professionals. The countdown to National Customer Service Week 2024 has begun. The county will recognize those known for providing excellent customer service October 7 – 11.

“National Customer Service Week is not just a place holder on our calendar, it is a time Fulton County looks forward to so that we can adequately celebrate everyone who provides the excellent service,” said Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson. “Fulton County values the work, commitment, and unwavering service of those working with all customers.”

“It’s a celebration of the unrelentless pursuit to excellence,” said Brigitte Bailey, Director, Customer Experience and Solutions. “Customer Service Week is our time to not only shine, but to place the spotlight on our team members, and the significant work being done.”

The theme of ‘Above and Beyond’ will be a vital part in the recognition of National Customer Service Week in Fulton County. Recognition of the county’s customer service professionals will include a week of celebratory activities, including pop-ups throughout the county to say thank you to employees.

The Annual Customer Service Legends Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, October 8. This event honors those employees who have been recognized throughout the year as high performing customer service professionals who have consistently demonstrated exceptional service to Fulton County citizens and employees.

National Customer Service Week received an official proclamation by the U.S. Congress in 1992 to help recognize the importance of good customer service along with those committed to providing it every day. The Fulton County Board of Commissioners first recognized National Customer Service Week, which is celebrated annually the first week in October, in 2017 as a means to demonstrate and reinforce its commitment to providing exceptional service to the citizens it serves.

In Fulton County, the Customer Service Division serves as the main information hub for Fulton County’s service offerings and contacts, researches and resolves customer complaints, assists customers who need information in a language other than English, offers communication services for the hearing impaired, and provides notary services for customers conducting official Fulton County business.  For more information, visit www.fultoncountyga.gov.
