Fulton County Recognizes National Recovery Month With "Rebound for Recovery" Basketball Tournament

September 26, 2024
In recognition of National Recovery Month, Fulton County Accountability Courts, in collaboration with the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), will host the "Rebound for Recovery" 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Thursday, October 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Maddox Park, 1115 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.

Fulton County Accountability Courts and BHDD are inviting residents to come out and enjoy an evening of music, fun, food, and entertainment as they “Rebound for Recovery.” This will be the first year for the event. In addition to family fun, residents will also be able to learn more about mental health and substance use services, Fulton County programs, and resources that support individuals on their recovery journey.

September is recognized as National Recovery Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about substance abuse and mental health disorders that impact individuals and families. It is also an opportunity to honor those who have sought help and embraced the journey of recovery. Keeping this in mind, Fulton County understands the importance of creating events that offer fun for the entire family while also providing access to key resources.
