Fulton County’s Fulton Fresh Mobile Market is preparing to hit the road for the fall season. The mobile unit will travel the streets to offer good nutrition and nutritional education to residents around the county.

The Fulton Fresh Mobile Market, which will be packed with fresh-grown fruits and vegetables will roll through Fulton communities on each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout the month of October.

The Fulton County/UGA Cooperative Extension’s Fulton Fresh program integrates youth, agriculture, and family consumer science programming to combat childhood obesity by providing hands-on learning to promote and encourage fruit and vegetable consumption.

Fulton Fresh works on creating healthy recipes with fruits and vegetables which are tasty and fun to make. In addition, instruction is given on lowering sugar and salt intake as well as tips for increasing water consumption, etc. Fulton Fresh programs include the Mobile Farmers’ Market and adult and youth programs.
