October 24, 2024
The Department of Public Works estimates that the project will be complete by the end of the year.
The Fulton County Department of Public Works has announced the start of a major infrastructure project in the Alpharetta area. On October 21, Public Works began replacing a section of waterlines along Hook Road and Jere Drive.

The work includes installation of new 6-in ductile iron pipe (DIP) and 8-in DIP along Jere Drive and Hook Road respectively, to replace an existing old cast iron pipe (CIP). The new pipe will be laid within the road. Construction activities will be limited as much as possible within the public Right-of-Way. Any disturbed properties caused by this work will be restored nearly as possible to its original conditions.

Officials in the areas seeking more information should contact Simeon Solomero, Senior Construction Project Manager at 404-612-7418 or Anthony Hughes, Construction Project Manager at 404-375-2911.
