Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr., Addresses the State of Healthcare for African Americans

January 30, 2025
Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., is inviting the public to join him to talk about the health challenges facing the black community. The Commissioner will host the State of Healthcare for African Americans in Fulton County on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Commissioner Arrington will bring together a panel of experts to discuss diseases impacting African Americans. Residents will also have access to blood pressure, glucose, and prostate cancer health screenings. Participants are invited to come out to the South Annex located at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road in South Fulton from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Panelists will also examine a range of challenges confronting communities of color and address the alarming health disparities and inequities facing residents in the southern part of the county. For Commissioner Arrington, the goal of this town hall is to discuss and inform the audience of the rising health challenges and the preventive measures to combat the issues.

“It is time we simply do more than talk about the problem of healthcare disparities in the black community,” said Commissioner Arrington. “We must work together to develop and deliver solutions that not only solve the problems but prevent them.”
