Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture Presents “Our Story: Through the Eyes of Jim Alexander

The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture is proud to present "Our Story: Through the Eyes of Jim Alexander," a solo exhibition featuring the work of contemporary photographer Jim Alexander. The exhibit will run from February 1 to February 28, 2025, at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center, located at 3900 Aviation Circle, NW, Atlanta, GA 30336.

The exhibition provides an in-depth exploration of nearly six decades of Alexander’s photographic journey, chronicling African American life and culture for future generations. It will feature 25 powerful images that capture the full range of Black life—from the fiery energy of human rights marches to the electrifying performances of music legends, intimate moments with historic public figures, and the sacred, everyday interactions that form the backbone of our communities.

The exhibit is free and open to the public, with viewing hours as follows:

  • Tuesday - Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • By Appointment
