Westlake High School students participated in a Bang the Gavel event hosted by the Fulton County Magistrate Court. Hear more from Chief Magistrate Judge Hon Judge Cassandra Kirk. It was an opportunity to come in and experience court. They got to observe a civil case and observe a criminal case. Then the pièce de résistance for them was actually being able to perform a mock trial because it is February. We did a state of Georgia versus Cupid case, and the students came up with the characters. They came up with how this case would move, so it was an opportunity for them to interact with the court.
