Stephanie Samples

Lieutenant Stephanie Samples is an experienced law enforcement professional with a diverse background spanning legal, investigative, and law enforcement roles. Beginning her career in 2000, Lieutenant Samples worked for a criminal defense attorney in Clayton County, Georgia, where she gained valuable experience in the legal field. In 2014, she transitioned into law enforcement, joining the City of Forest Park Police Department in Clayton County as a patrol officer. She quickly advanced through the ranks, serving as Corporal and then Sergeant in patrol, amassing a total of seven years of service in patrol operations.

In her pursuit of further professional growth, Lieutenant Samples accepted a senior investigator position in the White-Collar Crime Unit with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. There, she spent three years investigating complex financial crimes before being promoted to Lieutenant of the Case Intake Division.

Lieutenant Samples holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA, and a Master of Science in Accounting with a focus on Forensic Accounting. She also holds certifications as a Certified Financial Crimes Specialist and a Certified Economic Crime Forensic Examiner, enhancing her expertise in financial crimes and forensic investigations. Additionally, she is a certified POST Instructor, contributing to the training and development of fellow law enforcement professionals.
