Michael Makins is a highly creative award-winning Graphic Designer and Creative Director with 30 years of experience. His exceptional leadership, collaborative and interpersonal skills make him a dynamic team player. Mike utilizes his broad experience with graphic conceptualization to create compelling presentations using technical illustrations, timelines, and scene recreations to help jurors discern and understand difficult concepts through clear visuals. Thus, enhancing the strength of every trial team’s message. Using applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Flash, Final Cut Pro, and several other motion graphics to translate large volumes of cases into more persuasive messages.
Before joining the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Mike spent nearly two decades as the Senior Creative Manager at AT&T where he used visual communications to engage mobility customers nationwide. These talents have also allowed him to provide both web/print design, and photo/video production for other brands such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Kaiser Permanente, MCI, and BellSouth to name a few.
Mike studied Computer Graphics at the Art Institute of Atlanta and holds a degree in Graphic Design from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In 2016 he was inducted into UTC’s Sports Hall of Fame. He holds the distinct honor of being the school’s first 2-time All-American in the sport of Football.
